I stayed at the Holiday Inn in Brentwood as it catered for children with a fantastic swimming pool. We had a great time and the experience was made special but the lovely staff members. They went above and beyond and in particular a lady named Sarah really stood out. Sarah excels in delivering hospitality and paid attention to small details with my son who spilt his drink all over the floor. Sarah rushed to the recuse and didn’t make my little one feel guilty. She handled it like a champ and I was so grateful. There’s a saying from Maya Angelo “ you may forget era people say but you never forget how they made you feel” - well done Sarah. Thank you

Rooms are well appointed, very clean, and good sized. We had a super king, and the bed was supportive and comfortable. Hotel breakfast is good value with full breakfast and continental offerings. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Overall, we would very much recommend the hotel as good value for money and convenient location just off the motorway and close to Brentwood Town centre. Best option in the area of Brentwood, Upminster, and Shenfield. Public spaces are recently remodeled. The 4/5 rating on rooms is due to them being comfortable but not luxurious.

Stayed at the Holiday Inn in Brentwood recently and I must say… what an experience. First things first: the rooms were impressively clean. Not the usual “hotel clean” where you avoid looking too closely at anything, but genuinely spotless. I even did the classic hotel guest inspection — you know, the suspicious glance at the kettle and the awkward lift of the duvet corner — and everything passed with flying colours. The staff were brilliant as well. Friendly, welcoming, and always happy to help, even when faced with important guest questions like “Is breakfast still open?” and “How late can a person realistically stay in the hot tub before it becomes socially unacceptable?” A special mention must go to Sarah, who was an absolute superstar. Every hotel needs a Sarah — cheerful, helpful, and somehow able to deal with guests wandering around looking lost before their first coffee of the day. The gym is small but perfectly functional. It has everything you need for that brief burst of motivation where you convince yourself you’ll work out every morning of the trip… before remembering there’s a perfectly good breakfast downstairs. And finally, the hot tub. A wonderful place to relax, unwind, and—quite unexpectedly—become fully updated on the local Brentwood gossip. Honestly, after twenty minutes in there I felt like I’d accidentally joined the neighbourhood WhatsApp group. All in all, a great stay: clean rooms, lovely staff, a heroic Sarah, a gym that does the job, and a hot tub that doubles as a community news centre. Would happily stay again… if only to hear the next episode of Brentwood: The Hot Tub Chronicles.

I am a regular at the Holiday Inn at Brentwood. There is a reason why I always go back. Brilliant staff offer the best service. Especially Sarah, who is always pleasant, welcoming and friendly when I go for breakfast. Rooms are brilliant. Gym is small, although caters for everyone. Peloton bike as well which is a bonus!

I stayed here for a few days and genuinely enjoyed every part of my visit. The moment I walked in, the pleasant scent at the entrance set a welcoming tone. Every staff member I interacted with — from reception to housekeeping — was friendly and made the stay feel personal. Breakfast deserves special mention. Chef Jee prepared fresh, tasty meals every morning, and his twist on the classic omelette quickly became my favourite. We did have an issue with the AC in our room, but the way the staff handled it was exceptional. They acknowledged the inconvenience right away and offered a kind gesture, which really showed how much they care about their guests. I absolutely recommend this hotel for its warm atmosphere, great service, and excellent food.

⭐⭐⭐⭐ We had a great stay at this hotel and were really impressed with the overall service. From the moment we arrived, the staff were welcoming, friendly, and efficient. Check-in was quick and straightforward, and the reception team were happy to answer questions and give advice about local places to eat and visit. The room was clean, comfortable, and well presented with everything we needed for a relaxing stay — fresh towels, toiletries, and a good selection of tea and coffee. Breakfast was enjoyable with plenty of choice, and service in the restaurant was fast and well organised. The overall atmosphere in the hotel was calm and pleasant, making it an easy place to unwind after a busy day. The only downside was the cost of parking. While there’s convenient on-site parking available, the daily rate felt quite expensive compared to similar hotels in the area. It’s something to be aware of if you’re staying for more than one night. That said, everything else about the stay was excellent, and the staff went out of their way to make sure guests were happy. I’d definitely stay here again for the service and comfort — just wish the parking was a bit cheaper!

Absolutely loved our stay here. Every staff member could not have done more to make us feel welcome, from the reception staff to the restaurant, bar and spa staff. Room was lovely and we were allowed to change to a 4 person room (as opposed to 3) at no extra cost. We ate dinner here both nights and both times food was great and good value. Would thoroughly recommend - thank you

I had an amazing time at the Holiday Inn, and the breakfast service was a real highlight of my visit. The options were plentiful, everything tasted great, and the quality was noticeable. Chef G deserves special recognition—he was warm, attentive, and incredibly professional. He stopped by our table several times to make sure we had everything we needed, which made the whole experience feel extra welcoming. Outstanding service like his really makes a hotel memorable. Highly recommended!
